Life Hello! After our Graduation Cruise, I attended a terrific party that my family threw, slept for 2 hours and hopped on a plane to Alaska. That Monday I went to work for the Palmer G. Lewis Corporation in Anchorage. When the new Gold's Gym came to Alaska, I jumped at the chance to join it's management team and left PGL. This afforded me the ability to work in the world that I loved. Before the end of 1981 I had co-founded the Alaska Powerlifting Association and enjoyed several years of competitive powerlifting and bodybuilding.I won a few trophies along the way and had fulfilling experiences competing in the Teenage Mr. America and qualifying for the Mr. America by placing 3rd at the 1984 Mr. Northwestern America. A stupid but serious motorcycle accident prevented me from going to the America, but I had fun while it lasted. Although I still lifted, Karate took the place of heavy iron for many years.
