Hello at 17 years old I graduated in 1976. I started to work for a Company called Miss KG's (Women's Apparrel Store) located in the Palmer Plaza Mall in Farmington NM in 1977. At age 19 I worked myself up the ladder to Store Manager and a Buyer for over twenty something Women apparel stores located in the US. I was the youngest Manager ever hired for this position. I traveled to Los Angeles for two weeks at a time to buy casual, dress, holiday, accessories, and more for all stores, along with my V. P. Peggy Barbour. On the evening of June 21st, 1978 I returned from a two week buy in LA, I was notified the next morning that my brother John had been burned 80 percent from the neck down in a horrible refinery explosion. On June 24th 1978 I tragically lost my closest brother John in this refinery explosion Thriftway located outside Bloomfield NM. John was only 26 years old. In April of 1982 I got married to Denver Jones. I then decided to quit my job to be able to travel 100 percent in the US with my husband. We traveled to a different city every two weeks. I got to see, shop, and do a lot in every city we visited. My husband Denver was a Satellite Engineer at this time, and worked for a company called Satellite Business Systems located in McLean, VA. He traveled a lot, and to many different places in the world. We moved to Sterling, VA near the Washington D.C. area. We had our first home built in 1983 in Sterling, VA. I then went to work in the telecommunication world for a company called SBS Skyline. I was a primary contact for business, commercial clients, and interfaced daily with New York Telephone and New England Bell (Boston) area. I traveled often to downtown New York with this position.
