Hello Friends!
Amazing how quickly life passes when growing up. I've been living in the Fort Lauderdale area since '95 after falling in love with South Florida while on vacation with my best friend, who now lives here, too. I go back to NJ/NY at least twice a year to visit with family and friends and to get a small dose of snow in the winter.
Even though my degree is in Communications (Journalism) from Rider, I write for pleasure only and developed a lucrative career in application development for Fortune 500 companies (and anyone who will pay my rate! LOL). I tell people who can't understand why I love it so m...Expand for more
uch that it's like getting paid to solve puzzles.
Big jump from the modeling career, but I always knew after age 24, I'd have to find something meaningful and financially stable. I can't say I don't miss the excitement from time to time and sometimes entertain the idea of going back into it for grins. The highlight of that former life was holding the title of Miss New Jersey Latina in 1993 and being a finalist in the Miss America Latina pageant held in Guatemala.
I travel more these days, thanks to wireless broadband card, but with each new place I visit, I realize there are that many more I've yet to experience.
