Diana's Story
I am now living in the Beaumont area bought a major fixer upper and been working hard to make it a home.
I returned to the medical field after an interesting career in hotel industry....
School
I actually enjoyed high school. It's a period of time that you have some responsibility, but not too much. You can work and actually save your money not worrying about paying bills! I would go back if it weren't for the home work!
My favorite part of school was when I went to Spain for exchange student. I had such a blast that year. I partied so much and traveled so much it was worth every minute. I also discovered how much I enjoy literature. My trip to Italy was unforgettable! Roman pubs where the most fun! And seeing the mouth of truth like in Audrey Hepburn's Roman Holiday was so neat. I just couldn't believe that it was in a hole in the wall church that you could barely even see....Expand for more
But also seeing Galicia which was my favorite part of Spain was so memberable! I still keep in touch with my friends from there and have visited them twice.
I have many happy memories from high school with my friends, especially with Chris Sokol and Carlos Cornejo (a.k.a. Carlos Flores). These memories range from clubs, movies, eating out, car pooling, school projects, or just getting into trouble.
My biggest inspirations during high school were my math, science, and Spanish teachers! I thought I would become a marine biologist and save the oceans! Before I graduated highschool I was talked out of studying marine biology by many unemployed marine biologist...so then I went into college with a double major of biology and math. Well I found out that I can't see through a microscope to save my life and the math department teachers and I did not get along. So I went with kinesiology.
