Diana's Story
I am from Asheville NC. Asheville High class of 1971. I later attended AB Tech, Asheville NC. I went into retail management until opening my own business. I continued to be self employed throughout the years until my retirement in 1994. I married in 1973, my new husband rejoined the US Air Force. Together while serving his country, we lived in several places Gulf port MS, Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, where our oldest daughter was born in 1974. Then on to England, where the youngest of our two daughters was born, in Oxford England, 1977. After several years, we then moved to San Bernardo CA for several years. that was with the wind chill!! After retiring from the Air Force in 1989. We then returned home to Asheville. After my husband gave 23 years of service to his country, that includes being A Vietnam Veteran. We retired to Asheville and lived here full time until, 2008. Then moved to the Orlando FL area, and lived part time between NC and FL. To be near our 2 daughters and 3 grand children. But we still have A home in Asheville that we still keep and enjoy visiting several times A year. The best of both worlds! We now can enjoy the beautiful majestic mountains and the warm weather and excitement of the Orlando FL and the Magical Disney World! It is nice not having to deal with the winter time cold and snow in the North Carolina mountains. Life is short enjoy each and every day!!
