Diana Jones's Story
From Then to Now in just a few sentences:
Went to Morgan State U in Baltimore after high school. Graduated there in 1977 with a BS in Pscyhology, minor in Math. Went on to Grad School at UMBC finished all course work, practicums and then unfortunately tanked on thesis to return to NYS to be with my dad who eventually died of cancer. Had worked for Marriott Corp in Hotel Division for 6 years, left that to move upstate in 1984 with new husband Larry Ritter (PHS class of '74). Began working for NYS government. Fast forward: 2 kids; Larry Jr (21) and Kameron (17), Mom (83) and Great Aunt (86) live with us in Niskayuna, NY outside of Albany in Schenectady Co. hard as Gov. Paterson's appointed Commissioner to the NYS Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. My life long and best friend (and oldest son's godmother) Debbie Jackson (class of '73) died a few years ago of cancer while in Baltimore, MD. and I miss her very much. Some of you who knew me, knew her for sure. Am member of Delta Mu Omega Chapter of AKA Inc., Charter member of Greater Albany Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., member of Albany District Links and an Albany Girl Friend! Life is, however, constantly challenging but always a blessing. This site is pretty cool but I haven't had time to master navigating it! So much fun to connect with old classmates!
