Diana's Story
Easter 2020 - Apologies! My Classmates account was linked to an old AOL ID and I just discovered today that I haven't been on here since 2005 when I was in my 40's and my name was still Diana BARNES! I am now in my late 50's and the best part of my life was being a Single Mom for 12 Years. My 6 children and my 13 grandchildren are my world and I remain close to my 7 siblings.
God is my strength and Jesus is my Lord and Savior. What hasn't killed me, has made me stronger! And counseling taught me that I am stronger than I ever imagined.
Once all of my children were grown I dated and later married Jerry Burns, the SOHO hippie that hung out smokin' at the Car Wash and took off for the beach instead of going to class. He would have been class of 80 if he stayed in school. Alco...Expand for more
hol and Prescription Drug Addiction sadly contributed to his suicide in September 2019. May he rest in peace.
I've been working at the same company for over 30 years. Now life is all about hanging out with my amazing children and grandchildren. I have a great time with my 6 kids and several friends singing Karaoke, YES all the kids can SING!... Dancing, Fishing, Camping, Boating, Shooting Skeet or Shooting at the gun range with my youngest son Ronnie Jr.
Summers are full of Family/Friends/Neighbors spending time just Chillin' and Grillin' Barbecue Poolside!
I want to say Thank You to my family and friends that have shown me so much love and support. I couldn't survive this life without YOU.
Class of 80 was 40 Years ago this year! But I still feel young!
