After my mom passed away in October 2006, I moved to the Dallas area in March 2007 and live in Plano. My brother, Ed and his wife, Lynn and their family live in Frisco, about 20 min away from me. I'm enjoying spending time with my nephew and niece who are 9 and 7. Terry Mackin and his girlfriend, Stacy, live in Dallas as well so I see them often. Dallas is a fun city and very metropolitan! There is lots to do here with tons of places to eat and fabulous shopping and the weather is much better than Jersey! Sunny almost every day and even with as hot as it gets here in the summer, I still prefer that over the cold and snow. You also get so much more for your money in real estate here. The job market here also is much better than other parts of the country which is great. I do miss my sons, sister and her husband, friends, being an hour from the beach and the fall in the northeast but it's just a plane ride away! My sons are 24 and 23. Chris, 23 just graduated from Rowan University, Cum Laude with B.S. in Business and Human Resource Management and after working for a year will pursue his graduate degree. I am very proud of him! He will be staying in the area for now but would like to eventually move south depending upon job opportunities. Michael, 24 is currently working for a printing company and in the area. He previously worked for Desimone BMW Dealership in Mt. Laurel. He attended Camden County Community College for a year and a half but decided school was not for him. He loves working on cars, preferably mustangs and would like to eventually have his own shop one day.
