Diane's Story
Hi all,
Hard to sum up 37 years since EHS days..but in a nutshell, here goes...
Since school, moved around a bit; traveled all over Mexico; moved to Hawaii & lived for almost 2 years; worked at so many jobs (too much to tell). Got married in 1986 to a sweet brainiac Molecular Biologist, didn't have children...just of the 4-legged kind. He is my best friend & soulmate. We moved to Massachusetts in 1987 to 1991 where my husband finished his schooling. The job market went flat then so we headed back to CA. Lived in Costa Mesa, then Laguna Niguel, then Old Town Orange & bought a home in Santa Ana.
Then...We moved back to Massachusetts in 2006 for a job my husband was offered, but the timing was so bad..with the economic downtu...Expand for more
rn, he was laid off 1-1/2 yrs. later..out of work 9 mos., but now gainfully employed (thank goodness)!
I have been working at what I have always loved...MY ART, but nowadays it is in Fiber Arts. I am a wool fabric dyer, traditional rug maker (an early American Craft), I make reproduction pincushions of the Victorian era and I teach these classes locally and am now starting to teach nationally. I also sell my hand-dyed wool & wares on my eBay site under the name WOOLNWARES.
Life's been good for the most part...lots of twists & turns, but "it builds character"...at least that's what I keep telling myself...and I'm some kind of character...still, after all these years! Still want to travel more, "play" more...and live the life!
