Life
Joined USMC out of high school. Have three grown children, two grandchildren. Lived in Birmingham, Al for 13 years - worked at WBRC-TV. Married high school sweetheart Lee Cox, moved to Texas in 1976, divorced; he died in 1991. Have worked as managing editor of local weekly newspaper, and now own used book store, write columns for newspaper and sell on ebay. School
In the second grade I had a crush on Travis Dillahay - anyone remember him? Third grade, it was Ray Childers. About the 8th grade had a crush on J.R. Pugh. At 16 met Lee Cox and altho I dated a few boys, there were no new crushes until senior year when I was crazy for Dick Coolidge. My memories of school are mostly happy, loved school, liked most of my teachers and had fun. Wish I had studied. One thing almost no one knows is that I really wanted to play basketball.
