Diane's Story
I've been down in St. Paul and area for most of the past 30 years. Had a degree in teaching and couldn't get a job anywhere at the time, so I went back to school for law enforcement (hey! they're close!). Absolutely LOVED that. Ended up with a job as a 911 Emergency Dispatcher for Washington County (Woodbury, Forest Lake, Oakdale, pretty much all the eastern St. Paul suburbs), which was amazing. Finally decided to take the plunge and move back north about 5 years ago (has it been that long??). I now work at St. Mary's in Duluth, and am enjoying that. ry exciting, and I still enjoy mowing the lawn! (okay, give me time on that one) Am finding lots and lots of projects to constantly do and keep busy with. That is where most of my time is spent. It's kind of fun being a home body when you have a "home" to be at. I'll though I've been close to it, I've never married and have no kids. Probably my one regrest is the no kids. However, I am able to live a bit of that life vicariously through my niece, my goddaughter (Lori Nikula's daughter), and friends' kids. So never a dull moment. I'm always up for company if you ever find yourself in the west end of Duluth!!
