Diane's Story
Life
I've been married to Rick Wawrzyniak for 42 years. I can hardly believe what that sounds like comning out of my mouth. It's been adventuresome. We have two wonderful children, a perfect son-in-law, a grandcat. Three grandsons fill our hearts with joy. Our granddaugter born in Sept. '08 is, of course, beautiful and the apple of her papa's eye. We often wonder how we got so lucky. Rick and I both worked at the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. I retired in July of '09. He retired in 2011 as Process Improvement Coordinator in NM's IT department. Still trying to get used to him hanging around here everyday.
We live in the city of Greenfield, not too far from each of our childhood homes. Our daughter is a fifth grade ...Expand for more
teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools and her husband works for waterloo industries in site planning. Our son also works for the Northwestern as a disability benefits specialist. The grandkids keep us busy (babysitting those not in school), hockey games, little league games, dance recitals etc.
Travel and relaxation is now our goal, although Rick will be doing some IT consulting a week or so out of each month. When he's not golfing, he works for the Milwaukee Brewers in season as security or wherever he's needed. Great part time job and keeps him out of my hair. Hey, I said we've been married 42 years. Me, I love Vegas, road trips, and sunning at a great beach. 40 years of work was enough for this girl.
Life couldn't get much better.
