Diane's Story
Life
After graduating from Fremont, I went to Antioch College (University) in Yellow Springs, Ohio where I did a year in Europe - Besancon France, Neuchatel Switzerland, and a Rudolph Steiner School in Ringwood Hampshire, England. While there, I got married and then returned to Antioch to complete my BA degree. I returned to England while my husband completed his course to become a Social Worker and our first child, Allison, was born. Our 2nd child, Lindsey, was born 3 years later.
I began teaching full time in 1976 at an Elementary school in Chipping Ongar, Essex, England. I have since taught in various schools and we moved several times, but the biggest change was getting divorced in 1986. I re-married in 1988 and acquired two st...Expand for more

We have settled in Mountnessing, near the county town of Chelmsford, England and are enjoying having 9 grandchildren. Although my stepson and family live in New Jersey, USA, we try to see them several times a year, usually stopping by on our yearly pilgimmage to California to visit family there.
We enjoy traveling and have been to a variety of different places, including camping in the Canadian Rockies, but the most beautiful and relaxing was the island of Tobago.
I have been cutting down work-wise, doing a job share with my daughter amongst others, so that I have more time at home with my husband who has rheumatoid arthritis. After 30 years of teaching full time, I am enjoying a few days each week of peace and quiet!
