Diane's Story
Life
I was married for thirteen years and have been divorced for several years. I haven't had children yet but I am still hopeful.
Still working at Florida State University's Office of Telecommunications as a Network Specialist. This semester I return to school to attempt a Master's degree in MIS.
I am dating a wonderful much younger guy. I don't get to New Jersey as often as I would like, but now that I have more freedom I hope to get up there at least once a year.
College
OK. So maybe I helped a little to earn Florida State University the title of best party school. But hey Tallahassee is a college town. Who can forget Nickel beers and "Bust your bladder" at the Phyrst or 4 for 1 drinks at Clydes for ladies night. Then there was always the beer garden at Bullwinkles and ladies night at the Sugar Mill. Ah almost forgot "Grand Finales" and "Poor Pauls". And yeah I did open the little door in the ladies room.
And I'll never forget frat parties at Theta Chi and SAE. Those guys rocked. OK I do feel bad about heading over to the Delta Tau...Expand for more
Delta house to get their free beer and go back to Theta Chi, but there were no lines!
Movies and beer in the basement at Cash Hall. Yeah. What other dorm had a movie theatre and bar?
Kathy, Debbie, Meryl, Theresa, Beth, Norma - partying with you was the best!
Other memories: Spending the night in the hallway at Cash Hall drinking garbage can punch during a hurricane, then piling into Doug's pickup to go to Dunkin Donuts when the eye came over. And the horrible ham and cheese sandwiches and Tang donated by Burger King for the entire next week while the power was out.
Shoney's breakfast bar at 3 in the morning!
FSU football! Go Noles!
Life at Casa Cordoba with the Godby High school band playing at 8am on Sat> Who's brilliant idea was that?
My first apartment on my own at Chartre Oaks. I doubt there was a smaller apartment anywhere. But my pillow couch and cardboard box end tables really were stylish. hehe
Ah college life was good. And oh yeah I did graduate with a BS in Communications so I must have gone to class at some point.
