Diane's Story
Life
The man you see me with is a television star I've been lucky enough to have met twice in only a couple of weeks. His name is Randolph Mantooth, and his first big role was in the old TV show "Emergency!" (Any of you remember that one?) Ever since 9/11, I've become very interested in firefighting, and when the cable station TV Land reran the "Emergency!" show I was irrevocably hooked. Randy has become quite a supporter of fire departments all over the country. He's spoken at various fund-raisers and gatherings (besides having guest-starring roles in many other TV shows), and the two times I was lucky enough to meet him were in South Pasadena on March 27th of this year, and in Torrance on May 8th of this year! He's also got a new show in the works, "USAR-1," about the Urban Search And Rescue Branch of the fire departmen...Expand for more
t (unfortunately, he's married, so no wedding bells for me there!) But, enough about him. I've been at my current job (an Intermediate Typist-Clerk with the Los Angeles County Department Of Children And Family Services [Foster Care]) for seven years this coming November 17th, and I've already been involved in one labor dispute and strike. The ways things are going now--what with Arnold's budget and all--that we may end up doing the same thing again! My sisters Mary and Claudia--both graduates of Royal Oak High School as well--are having a great time making a living as professional musicians. My older sister, Claudia, has also gotten a few extra acting parts in some recent TV shows and movies (no speaking parts, just being in crowd and background scenes.) Well, that's all for now.
