Diane's Story
Life
When I was graduated from PA in 1960, I moved back to MD. After marrying and having 5 children, I finally went to college to study art education. I ultimately taught high school art and photography for 26 years before retiring in 2002. My husband, Robert, and I live near his birthplace in PA on 30 acres. We have 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Our son, Bob, is a police captain in Ocean City, MD. Our oldest daughter, Tracy, is a nurse. The middle child, Greg, owns a computer technology firm. Eric and Erin, our twins, are both educ...Expand for more
ators.
In addition to teaching, I have had some illustrations published in several national magazines and used in a couple of advertisiements. I was the graphic artist for former Congresswoman Connie Morella's first political campaign
My 3 years at PA were extremely instrumental in my educational success despite the delay before pursuing higher education. I'll always remember Mrs. Mary Barnes, Bloody Mary, and attribute whatever success I've experienced educationally to her. She was a powerful educator and will live in my memory forever.
