Life I was snatched out of the cradle and swept off my feet when I was barely 18 years old by actor Richard Kiel, who was on location in Georgia while filming the original Longest Yard with Burt Reynolds. He brought me back to California and we have been happily married for over 39 years now. We have been blessed with four wonderful children and six beautiful grandchildren. Richard subsequently filmed many other movies and most notably was in two James Bond films. We were fortunate enough to travel all over the world while he was filming and promoting The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. It kept us busy for about four years. Even now Richard still does a lot of publicity for them. My middle son, Bennett, was born in Paris, France, while they were filming Moonraker. I was able to be a stay-at-home mom when my children were young, and when they were in their upper grades in elementary school, I began going to college to become a court reporter, which I have been doing now for about 16 years. I really enjoy my work. It's something different every day. Instead of working in the courtroom, I usually go to attorneys' offices and take down depositions before trial. I am considered an independent contractor and this allows me the flexibility of being able to take time off and travel with my husband whenever I like.
