Diane's Story

Current Life: written 2015 Moved back to Rome Sept 2014. Mom died July 25, 2013 and the Homestead was sold Sept 2014. Trying to get a life. Most of the people I was close to have either died or moved away. Wish I could have stayed in Easthampton, but the houses were too expensive. I do have my boys nearby, along with my grandchildren. Steven now has a beautiful little girl, Kathryn, born May 2014 Another Life written 2012 Moved back to Easthampton Oct 31, 2007 to help Mom. Since Oct. 2008 I am her Caregiver as the dementia slowly takes over. Steven (now 37) was married Oct 13, 2007 to Elizabeth Leonard and they have a beautiful son, Alexander, born June 4, 2011. He is currently working as an EE in Hamilton, Ont. Canada. Carrie (now 35) is still in Concord, CA, specializing in AAC and early intervention. tion towers, currently working in VA area. He was married in Sept. 2010 and has a beautiful son, Connor, born Oct 13 2010. Past life: Married 1973 - divorced 1993 I lived in England 1973 to 1978, Hanscom AFB from 1978 to 1980 and then to Rome, NY, where I lived for 27 yrs. Recently returned to Easthampton to stay with and watch after my mom. Mom's health is 'good' at 80, but she doesn't have the strength to keep up 'the old homestead'. With the kids grown and on their own, I was free to return. My youngest and oldest sons, Chris, 21 yo., auto mechanic, and Steven,32, an Elec. Eng., still reside in Rome, NY. My daughter Carrie, 30, a Speech Therapist is in Concord, CA. No grandchildren (I'm too young!!!) I am still involved in Scouting and hoping to connect with Scouts in this area. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends. Do drop a line.
