Diane's Story
After living in and around Seatle almost all my life, I am now living on the Olympic Peninsula in Mason County. A slower pace of living and natural beauty is wonderful.
My life at Highline, coming from Sylvester, then from McMicken brought me into the Highline school system in the fifth grade. My circle of friends included Linda Taylor Fowler, Becky Bruinington Prevost, Marilyn Gust, Sharon Jones Nelson, and a few others whose names have escaped me over time.
I've been married twice to the same person. It didn't work out but I don't regret any of it. We have two children and two grandchildren. Stephanie, my oldest, has two children, Nick and Daniel who are 14 and 12. Nick is autistic.
My son has never married...Expand for more
but I think he is just too picky.
I have worked for two great companies, Boeing and General Electric. I met my husband at Boeing in 1962. My whole family has worked at Boeing one time or another. My son is still working there. I was laid off at Boeing in 2001 and then went to Edmonds CC in their Paralegal Program. I didn't finished and left school with five credits left to complete the program,
I went on to work at two law firms, one in Seattle for Construction Law and then on to a Family Law practice in Northgate. Around 2006, I semi-retired and then retired from being paid money to volunteer work at Northgate Hospital. I am now volunteering at Mason General in Shelton.
I would love to hear from anyone.
