Diane's Story
I live in York, ME. I have been a children's librarian since I was 26 or so at Portsmouth Public Li
Library, and at. Main Street Elementary School in Exeter since 1989. I retired in 2015. I liked my job with children K-2, because they amused me, and it was fun to work with people who skip everywhere they go. I was married to Roger Adams for a few years in my early 20's. Lived with Steve McHenry for 4 years.I've been married to Ron Furst since 1984; we have two sons who graduated from college in 2008; both are talented musicians, one lives in Portsmouth, NH, went to Pratt for a Master's in Urban Planning, and works as a planner from home for a...Expand for more
n architectural firm in Manhattan, the other works at the Bridgton, ME. elementary school teaching music after getting his Music Ed. Master's from Boston Conservatory. The youngest married a Hungarian he met his semester abroad, and have a little daughter named Alma (Apple in Hungarian) who was born in Sept. 2013 and a newborn, Viola, born in Sept. 2015, We ran a children's camp in Maine for 24 years called Camp Hawthorne. As of January 2010, we no longer ran it, but merged with Windsor Mt. International Camp in Windsor, NH. Our camp is now a pleasant memory. Now enjoy playing with granddaughters, walking by the ocean at Kittery Pt. each day.
