Diane's Story
I was in the Future Business Leaders Club for 2 years.I graduated 1960 and went to work. I met my husband that summer and we were married two years later. He was in the Air Force so we lived briefly in Apple Valley CA. After he was discharged we moved to OH where he was born and family lives. This CA girl did not like the harsh winters so we moved back to Covina CA for 12 years. My husband was transferred to Bakersfield CA in 1977 where we raised a daughter and son. I worked for an Insurance Agency and George stayed with Burroughs Corp even after they were bought out by Unisys. Our son died suddenly in 2004. Which was devastating to lose him at 34 years old. ed here in 2006 after we retired. I love to cook and do games on my Kindel. My husband is still into computers after 35 years of repairing them he is still on his all the time. We have been traveling a lot this year, trying to do some before we can't get around anymore. We took a cruise to the Caribbean in May. Took the grand kids on a road trip to Ohio to see George's family in June and then the two of us took a road trip to New Mexico last month. That was somewhere we had always wanted to see. All that travel was unusual as we are usually home helping my daughter raise her grandson Caden whom she has guardianship. He is Autistic and such a wonderful little 7 year old. So as our life can be challenging it is full. Would love hearing from any classmates. Diane Walters Christian
