Diane's Story
Life
Hey friends. I live in Tulsa, Ok now. I lived in the Ozarks for several years - not far from Branson. I have 2 kids - Tara Farrow and a son Damion Henderson. Tara will be 33 on the 3rd of March and my son will be 21 in October. My first grandbaby is due July 1st. He is Tara's baby. When Damion was 10 he got a contract with Taco Bell and we moved to Hollywood. Tara joined us in Hollywood (just me & the kids) and we embarked on quite a journey. Damion and I started acting and Tara became the Vice President of Toyota's worldwide headquarters in Torrance, Ca. Damion and I were in almost all of the sitcoms (Damion mostly in movies and I in mostly tv shows and commercials), but I managed to appear in several movies myself. We had a blast. When Damion made enough money to secure his college education we moved up to Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks to help take care of my mom & dad. I decided that Hollywood was not where I wanted to raise a teenage boy - so we came back. I married for the (I'm embarrased) 3rd time and it seems as if this one stuck. I am still married and moved back to Tulsa with my husband and son. Tara is still in Santa Monica. I worked in the resort industry up there for 8 years. I worked for a world-class trout fishing state park and then for an exclusive resort outside of Branson owned by the ow...Expand for more
ners of Bass Pro Corp. The resort was Big Cedar Lodge. I loved that too.
Then, on my birthday last year (July l2th, 2004), just as Damion was going to start college - we discovered he had a massive brain tumor. It weighed over a pound and is extremely rare - only 2 recorded in medical history. So.......our lives have changed drastically. They removed his tumor on the l3th (the very next day) and I am happy to report that he is doing great. His is still recovering, but this tumor has a 60-80% chance of returning. He started work yesterday (February 28th) and starts college at a local college here next week.
My mom and dad moved from the Ozarks back to Midland. My sister, Kay Thorpe, is the caretaker now. My dad (Buck) passed away in May, 2004 (that was a bad year for me), and my mom, Quita is alive and just as beautiful as ever. I should be going home to see her maybe in April.
I miss everyone. I miss West Texas. But Damion's father lives here in Tulsa and I feel I need to stay here. We may not have much time left with our son.
I would love to hear from everyone. I went to our 30th reunion and missed several people - Melissa Sherrod, Billie Jo Inman, Jan Wilkerson, Beth Pool - just to name a few.
I just found this website today - so am anxious for some response.
See ya - Diane Williford Addison
