My dad's mother (granny) was a Bench and we are cousins to Johnny Bench. Most of my relatives followed his career, and had a feeling we were kin to him. I have been doing genealogy for many many years and stumbled upon this, when finding long lost Bench relatives. Johnny Bench is mostly Choctaw Indian, and that is how I have Choctaw blood. I also have Cherokee Indian blood as well, both parents have Cherokee and Choctaw blood. After all they are both from Oklahoma! My husband's family are cousins to Abraham Lincoln from granny Stimpson. His granny was a Hanks, and that is Lincoln's mother's maiden name. They are possibly kin to Tom Hanks, because he is also a cousin to Abe Lincoln. Wow, what you can find out when doing genealogy!
