Diane's Story

Since high school, like everyone at this age, much has occurred in our lives. In the last 40 years, I've worked in the legal field, mortgage industry, construction lending industry, insurance industry and have finally found a place to work that I love and will probably work the rest of my days. I work for a non-profit agency that counsels people in need of foreclosure counseling and mortgage modification, reverse mortgage counseling and new home buyer education classes. We help people in many, many more ways and I love it. I've been married for 34 years to a wonderful, kind, generous man who always puts me and our children first. I lucked out. I have three grown children of whom I'm very proud. My oldest daughter is a commercial pilot. My son graduated in mechanical engineering and is half way through dental school. My youngest is a nurse. If you stop and think about it, this works out well for my old age. My travel, my teeth and my own personal nurse. Works for me. Now I just have to figure out how not to get old. Oh well, happens to the best of us. If there is anything lacking in my life I would have to say that my kids have not found that special someone to share their lives with and not blessed me with any grandkids. All's I want are a few new kids in the family without having to give birth myself. Is that asking too much? It will all work out I'm sure. I'd love grandkids, but I also want to see my kids find someone to share their lives with. The things I remember about high school are many. Good friends, football gam...Expand for more
es, the stupid outfits we had to wear in P.E., dances, boyfriends, broken hearts and elated hearts. Wouldn't change it for anything. Plans for this summer include, a harley trip with friends into Colorady (if the fires get under control) and Yellow Stone, a visit to Vegas to see my commercial pilot daughter who lives in Dubai. Haven't seen her in 3 years. Thank goodness for skype. A lot of boating and fishing. We're in for another drought here in Utah so we need to take the boat out as much as possible before we can't launch anymore. Probably a few road trips with the hubby. Although my hubby and I work a lot of the time, we make time to do fun things together and I think this summer will be a blast. The part of Utah I live in is gorgeous. Wooded canyons (beautiful for riding the harley), lakes and resivours within 20 minutes and Midway and Park City only 20 to 30 minutes away. When I re-read what I've written, it sounds like life has been perfect. It's been good, but like everyone in this world there are always hard times. Family and friends passing, illness of loved ones, hard lessons learned and mistakes made. I think that's called life or living and learning. All in all, I can't complain about my life and in retrospect, there's been much more good than bad. I'd say "The End" but it's not the end and I'm sure there's still plenty of time (hopefully) to experience, good things, hard things and totally awesome things. Soooooo, for now, It's the end, not "The End". I look forward to what the future may bring. the end.
