Diane's Story
Life
I have worn several different hats since I left you all in 1964. I received a bachelor of music degree from Temple and sang professionally for twenty years. When my two boys were born (one on July 4th 1976 - how showbiz is that!) I retired from the stage and went to the quiet of the library. I earned a masters in library and information science from Drexel and served as children's librarian for both a public and school library in the following 8 years. I became a children's book author in 2000 with my YA novel, A Star to Guide Me:...Expand for more
A journey at Sea, and my newest middle grade historical fiction piece, My Father is a Clown, which was nominated for the Christopher Award. (I didn't win, but it was a honor to be included among Lois Lowry and others!). I volunteer with the National Greyhound Adoption Program and do a show for retirement homes, schools and organizations with my two greyhound, Chitza and Raleigh called "Greyhounds Through the Ages" (Show business never leaves the blood!) My kids play in the rock group, "MATTER". The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
