Diane's Story
This Grandma has 7 tatoos and 6 ear piercings!
My Daddy was My Hero. He passed away at the age of 90! I miss him still!
After graduating, I worked for the Social Security Administration as a secretary. Also worked as private secretary for one of the Kempers up in Executive Suite! [really getting old - who uses that term anymore? For the next 4 years, I attended Wright at night and worked at Bankers Life & Casualty [Boss & other heads of departments came to wedding - what a wedding reception!]
Married in '63. Rich enlisted and was shipped to Germany, so I followed. We lived with a German family for 2 1/2 wonderful years.
Back home and back to work! Had 3 incredibly handsome little boys 15 months apart! Spent many, many years enjoying them - they really kept us busy - Indian Guides. Baseball, Basketball, Football, Swimming & Diving, and, of course being BOYS!
We were in umpteen parades and built Year for the Child float that won 1st. place! I designed SAA logo which they used for years and years & basically did a lot of artwork for any and all organizations we all were involved with. Rich was in the Jaycees and they were always dong something for the kids. So much fun for all of us!
Rich was a electrician for IBEW, Local 134, then was elected as Business Manager. Retired a couple years before turning 65 and is a licensed broker and realtor..[Baird & Warner]. We had our own Realty World office for a while...Expand for more
also. He has since given up real estate.
I also worked for a photographer, podiatrist [Dr. Delgadillo], ass't mgr. for orthopedic surgeon [Dr. Martin Saltzman],and was "receptionist" for Massage Therapy, and also worked with 2 chiropractors that joined us.
Recently was active in Michelle Mussman's campaign while she ran as Representative for District 56. She won! Still volunteer at the office and had a chance to go to Springfield to see her in Session.
I am also the neighborhood dog sitter!!!
Love to cook for my friends when they are busy working.
Love photography and making custom 3-D paper toys!
Jeff [oldest son] is an electrician with 134 and his son graduated from DePaul.
His daughter graduated from Columbia.
Kevin [in the middle] is a carpentry contractor [Brothers Enterprises]his stepdaughter is 35 and he has 2 adorable grandkids 4 and 8. I am known as Grammar Di!
4 yeasr ago, Kevin and all of his contractor associates remodeled our 2-story home w/full basement in 8 weeks! It was amazing, to say the least! And, I, of course, have some incredible lighting!!!
Lee turns 41 this year and has lived in West Palm Beach for many years. He lived up here for about a yr., but recently went back to Fla. Has given us a beautiful Jamaican daughter-in-law and Nico [6], Sophia [4]], Jake [2]] and
JP turned 1 this year! All the little ones have BLUE eyes!!
Miss them!
