Diane's Story
We raised two children, a boy and a girl. I returned to school when I was 34 and got my BSW, MSW, and L.C.S.W. Divorced after 30 yrs. and now remarried. Worked in mental health, acute hospital, and physical rehab. hosp. settings as well as private practice before settling on County Mental Health. Retired from that after 20 yrs. p.t. and f.t. My passion is working with severely and persistently mentally ill individuals. The last few years I did crisis work at the front door, hospital ERs and the jail. g I did not want to be a part of. I worked very p.t. at an elementary school for a couple of years. Currently (2019) I am volunteering as a case manager for the Carr Fire victims. The house their Dad and I raised our children in burned. Our son was raising his family in the home. We are also active and volunteer at Pilgrim Church. My husband raced pigeons, and, after 70 years he stopped that. It's a lot of work! We have five children between us and four of them live in this area. We have five grandchildren and 2 greats. I enjoy nothing more than spending time with friends and family. Life is good.
