Dianna's Story
Thru the Years
After graduation I attended UTA in Arlington and worked full time at Darr Equipment in Irving. I decided I preferred the money over education and dropped out of college only to say one day I'll go back. Didn't happen. But I did meet and marry my husband of 30 years at that time. We married in 1979 and lived in Grapevine for 14 years. We had 3 boys in the 80's. In 1993 we moved to East Texas. We live on a 13 acre farm in a small town called Bullard just south of Tyler. We have it all - cows, horses, chickens, dogs, cats, have done goats, rabbits, ducks - you name it - we did it. Our two oldest boys graduated from Texas A & M (yes we bleed maroon - love College Station - Gig em Aggies) in 2004 & 2008 with Animal Science...Expand for more
degrees - the oldest Wes graduated this May from Vet School & is working at Hillside Vet Clinic in Dallas. Stephen is doing farm and ranch production. He lives in Centerville on a 11 acre ranch. He already has about 50 head of Brahma cows, 5 ranch horses and 12 black mouth cur dogs to round up the herd. Patrick our youngest went to auto mechanic school in Tyler - he helps Mike with the hay business we do on the side. It started as a hobby years ago and now is a full time job.
In 2000 we opened All Star Collision Center in Jacksonville - south of Tyler. I keep the books and run the office and he runs everything else.
I never dreamed I would end up on a farm all those years ago, but wouldn't have it any other way.
