Dianne's Story
2009 Update: Fell in love with Boise and stayed! Resigned from Northwest (soon Delta) after working there 16 years on and off as I raised 3 children, married and divorced two very nice firefighters. Worked for a year as a Canyon County prosecuting attorney, but had a hard time adjusting to quaint, old school politics and left to pursue my own practice again. Still active member of Idaho state bar with my new last name, haven't updated inactive Washington state bar listing so still Kullberg there. Met the love of my life, widower, Mark Keeney, and now have 5 more lovely adult children and a plethora of beautiful grandchildren. Pursuing the dream again...currently slaving as a flight attendant with goal to work part time--you know I love aviation too much to ever leave--and have a solo immigration law practice. Life
Living in Las Vegas, taking the July 2004 NV bar exam, working for Northwest Airlines. Home base is Jacksonville, Florida, but have not had to commute for awhile. Will be working at Boise airport for summer of 2004, which I chose for its high score on my lack-of-distractions-while-studying-for-the-bar factors. Was bored to death working for conservative insurance defense firm in Spokane, WA, and after my divorce, decided to enjoy the flight benefits my 1989 seniority with Northwest could afford. The goal is to practice law that is interesting and fulfilling, while admittedly not making the most money possible--it's a lifestyle choice--and work part-time for the airline that gives me my flight bennies and affords me the fix I need as an aviation junkie. Would love to hear from other folks who have taken paths less traveled and chosen to practice law outside the usual box.
