Dianne's Story
As I recall my years in Cabot, for the most part, they were happy years. I was born and raised there. Mt. Carmel Baptist Church was my second home. My Dad was a mailman and my Mom a stay at home mother. My best friend was Morrisa Baty. My first boyfriend was Von Williamson. They will both always hold a special place in my heart. I know that Von passed away several years ago suddenly. However, Morrisa and I still stay in touch.
Cabot stopped being home for me after my Mom'Âs passing in 1996. And although I moved all the way to Little Rock and North Little Rock, I am rarely in Cabot anymore. But, I am always proud to say I am from there.

Since 1996 I have lived in North Little Rock on a small acreage site with my husband and a variety of animals. I have two stepchildren, a grandson and a granddaughter. They are the light of my life, along with a dog and a cat.
I am employed by the State of Arkansas, as the Chief Investigator for the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board. My office is in downtown Little Rock. I am not too hard to find.
I would like to think that I really haven't changed much. Yes, I am older and perhaps smarter. And after disappointments in my life, much more grown-up. Overall, I have been blessed and the years have been good to me.
