Dianne's Story
Life
Hi! I am living in Chester County right outside of Kennett Square. I get to Media all the time to visit my mom. My brother Ken and his wife Colleen (both who attended PHS in the 80s) have 2 children and live in the town of Media. I have a great husband Brian of 21 yrs and a 'cool' son Sean age 19, who just graduated from Kennett High and is headed for Penn State/Delco. Right now I am into eBay auctions and have had over 2,900 transaction-customers in all 50 states and some abroad. I live on over an acre and do lots of gardening.I use to be involved with the PTO when my son was in elementary school and was elected as the corresponding secretary one year. I also use to be an aid substitute at the local schools-not my forte. Send me a note if you like. Many people know my brother Don and he is fine living in Fort Lauderdale, FL with his Dalmation Baxter, He is a job recruiter. And my oldest brother Dave lives in New Jersey with his wife and 2 sons, the oldest is 20 and an art student in Philly. Dave is an electronic technician for KYW-tv. I use America Online-Diadsie, and Moonlitstitcher on eBay. I have a blog too! It's diadsie dot blogspot dot com. I added some other photos to my album here.
I still hope to find a way to make extra money so we can get things fixed up in our 45 year old rancher. I would will like to be a children's book author and have an idea for a story! Thanks to something in a photograph that appeared to be a pink bubble that was sitting on the top of my bench. I had just wanted to take a picture of my butterfly bush and that little bubble appeared in the shot and only in that shot!
I also like to take photos and I take a lot with our little Canon Powershot. We hope to get a better camera soon so I can sell prints of my flowers.
School
I did have a crush on MB back in high school. I guess because I was...Expand for more
n't a girl jock, he wasn't interested in me. The night we graduated, my younger brother Don gave me a huge hug and my old crush was breaking his neck to see who was giving it to me (so I was told). I ended up with a track runner from a prep school! So there-lol!
I had Mr. Polignone for Creative Writing. I wish my own son had taken a class like that! We had a good class and Tom Pike stands out in that one. Last year I saw Mr. P. at a book sale in Media.
I really had a nice small group of friends like Barb Spears, Phil Heaver, Francy Pearson, Nicki Drass, Kathy Keller, Lisa Farran, Stacey Thomas,Cindy Timson and Carol McCarney. some of who were my pals in jr high too. Ok, I can't forget the other Harriet! I am glad to correspond with Nicki once in a while through email. We need to get together for lunch sometime.
The happiest memory was when the soccer team won the championship. We really came together as a group which made school worthwhile to me.
College
I lived at West Chester U for almost 2 semesters. I was older and more set in my ways, but I enjoyed living away from home at that time. My first roommate was a girl from Chester who took caffeine pills so she could study all night. I told her if I didn't know the material by 11 pm, so be it! She had a few other vices with drugs, but ended up as a teacher and I didn't.
My next roommate had a boyfriend and she loved when I went home on the weekend so she could have him come up from DC and push the beds together. I moved home before that sememster was up.
I met Brian when I was going to WCU. I never had a serious relationship with a guy before him and my education took a backseat. I just couldn't get the Math 101 class. (Later I heard they dropped it because so many people bombed it).
I met some good friends at WCU: Donna, Susan, Linda and John (<--the best guy on campus).
