Life In case anyone out there is at all interested in how my life turned out, I'll try to recap in a few paragraphs. I married at the end of 1973, I was working for Advest in Hartford at the time. Then the children came along, both boys, one in 1977 and one in 1980. That was the year when we moved to Boston and everything went downhill. I divorced the first husband in 1982 and started living that single parent life, holding down a job at Fidelity Brokerage in Boston and waitressing at night, not exactly what I had in mind 10 years earlier!! In January of 1984, I met my second husband who is English, we married in 1985 and I moved, lock, stock and barrel to England. The boys had a great childhood, growing up in England and spending the whole summer in the States. I went to work for Vodafone working in the marketing department when cell phones were just the size of a brick, ended up leaving there in 2002 when they got too big and started laying off people, with a handsome payout, I decided to give up work for good. Hubby was also working for Vodafone and he was laid off in 2005. We decided then to do what we always wanted to do, take the money and run, we sold up and have moved to the Algarve in Portugal, 2 miles from the beach and fantastic weather all year round. We love it and have made loads of new friends. Have bought a house on an acre of land filled with fruit trees...Expand for more
