Dianne Wacker's Story
Life
My first job was at Radio City Music Hall in NYC as a ballet dancer. Then went to nursing school and started my career in the OR of various hospitals. Went back to dancing in my mid 20's and toured the US and Canada with Disney on Parade, an arena show. Then lived in France for a year and traveled all over Europe. Went back to nursing, was married for the first time in 1979 to Tom Ferguson, a graduate of RHS in 1967, had two beautiful children, Erika now 29 (who delivered our first grandchild, Hazel Madison on 11/25/07) and Evan, now 27, athlete and computer wizard. I have 2 dogs, George (Goldendoodle) and Grace (terrier mix, rescue) and 2 cats, Ricky and Lucy. There are also some rather large goldfish in the pond. ...Expand for more
We all live in the San Diego area. I have owned a quilt shop, designed fabric and am a certified quilt appraiser. I married a second time (my husband Carl died suddenly 2/09), live in a historic home and work at Callaway Golf Company as the corporate nurse and Workers' Compensation Manager. And yes, I play golf and especially enjoy playing with my 91 year old mom and son Evan with our fabulous Callaway clubs. Despite my recent loss, life is good and it continues to be a joy to get up in the morning. I enjoy sewing, painting, knitting, gardening, bicycling, my Wii, and a good bottle of wine.....and of course friends and family. Retirement is looking pretty sweet these days.....so much to do.....so little time! How 'bout you?
