Dick's Story
Life
I worked in the photography area, for Boeing as a technical photographer and owned my own studio for over seven years. My main work experience after that was with Metro Transit in the Seattle area where I retired at the end of 2003 as a Service Supervisor.
I married Ann Jackson, also of the class of 1961 but from Hoquiam, WA HS. Annie was a school teacher. We have two sons and three grandkids. Edit: Oct. 2006- Older son has remarried and in that step I have gained three more grandkids, making the total now six. Annie died 23 July 2005 of complications from rheumatoid arthritis and I have been trying to learn how to live without her since then. Edit: Oct. 2006- I have started looking for a new lady who I can cherish and spend the rest of my life with. Dating sure is different than it was in the early to mid-1960s!
We were RVers who enjoyed Snowbirding in Arizona over the winters since I retired and our month long trip to Eastern Washington every summer. Computers and reading are also high on my a...Expand for more
ctivity list. Edit: Oct. 2006- I have joined the local YMCA and gotten into physical fitness training in a fairly intense way, wanting to loose weight and get into better shape. It is working.
I live in Mount Vernon, Washington while not away with the motorhome. I am wanting to re-establish contact with friends from my school years, and with some of the many I attended school with but didn't really know at that time. That's one of the disadvantages of a large school like LC, there are so many you really don't have the chance to get to know. We will have a 50th reunion in 2011, right? Maybe we can have mini-reunions in the in between years, too.
Edit: May, 2007 - Well, the dating process worked well. I met a lady who lost her husband shortly after I lost Annie & we started spending a lot of time together. I asked her to marry me and she said, "Yes." We were married 28 Apr 07 & are starting our "new" life together. I'll post a photo of the two of us.
Edit January, 2022 - My wonderful wife, Patti B, had a massive stroke last Monday and died in a Bellingham, WA hospital Tuesday evening Jan 25th. We had a bit over 15 wonderful years together and now I am feeling lost again.
