Dick's Story
I am a very lucky Guy. I survived Vietnam, I survived a terrible marriage, I am a Christian man with a Christian wife, and I can say after four serious surgeries I am doing fine. I have alot of friends some closer than most family members. I have many sweet memories of classmates and I can say some buddies from the army and I keep in touch with each other. I enjoy helping people find the right connections with many different issues. Some for military benefits, some for health reasons, some for mere directions of simple Q&A. I enjoy time on the internet, searching for clothing, resturants, motels with discounts. I play words with friends. I enjoy taking pictures or just doing some creative stuff in my digital dark room. I have alot of hobbies. I even enjoy mowing the grass (with an audible book in my Ipod). Some hobbies involve travel and some are DVR TV movies and flying past the commercials. YEAH ! always enjoyed music, except (Westside Story) I cannot imagine boys dancing to a fight...I have been to NY many times and enjoyed many musicals. Went to Canada to watch Phantom of the Opera three times. Each time it presented new info about the play. I miss seeing some high school friends and think about them often. I know Roz Vella and I graduated from UPitt at Johnstown but I have not seen her since 1972. I have not seen Uncie (JOHN) Robinson since high school. I did go to the 45th class reunion and saw those in attendance. There were those that I wish I could have seen but didn't, and I really hope that our 50th is well attended. Please make the sacrifice to go, I'd love to see you faces again... Our class is gettting smaller and for those of us that remain, be a good Spartan and show up. I am going to suggest a sit down dinner with quiet music this year. Does any classmate agree with me?
I stand corrected, after talking with Roz,she told me she worked at UPJ as a resident assistant (RA) after graduating from IUP. That year was 1971, my freshman year at Pitt.
