Dick's Story
Life
Went to CU-Boulder after high school. Met and married wife of 48 years. Dropped out of school in 1967 and enlisted in the Army Security Agency. One tour in Vietnam and two years in Germany. One son born while in service. Returned to school in Boulder. Received BA in French in 1972 and MPA in 1974. Worked for Federal Government (USAF and Interior) in contracts and procurement until 1978. One daughter born during this period. With Government prime contractors until 1993 (Solar Energy Research Institute, Solvent Refined Coal International, Martin Marietta) - also in contract management. Second daughter born during this period. ement capacities until the bubble burst. Back full circle to the Federal Government 2003 to 2016 as a procurement analyst with the military health system. Retired in 2016. All three kids married. Seven grandchildren. Became a film and video actor on the side in 1993. My wife and I enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe. Sadly, she passed away in August of 2014. In November of 2015, I became engaged to a new love, proving there is no age limit on happiness! Sheila Carter-Field and I were married in September 2016 and made a home in Parker, CO. We subsequently purchased horse property south of Elizabeth, CO on a two-year project to build our new house and barn. We now live on that property, with two horses, three barn cats, a collie show dog, and a number of chickens!
