Dick's Story
I am from Burbank, Illinois. My schools include Reavis High School. I later attended Northern Illinois University (BS Elementary Education) and Northwestern University (MBA) I am semi-retired and work as a substitute elementary school teacher about 125 days a year in East Aurora, IL school district 131.
After NIU in '69, I enlisted in the Army, went to Infantry Officer Candidate School & helicopter flight training, was sent to Vietnam, joined the Reserves after active duty and retired in '96 after 26 years, as a Lieutenant Colonel.
My wife Peggy and I have been married for 44+ years. We have lived in Sugar Grove since '07 and the previous 35 years in Geneva, IL. We have 3 sons and a daughter, gratefully college grads, and 10 grandchildren, 8 yrs old and under, with #11 coming 8/1/14--7 girls, 4 boys.
Over the years I held a variety of positions in the commercial insurance industry, e.g. corporate risk manager, consultant, insurance broker--sales & management.

l respects. I have especially needed His care as I have been an insulin dependent Type I diabetic for 32 years and have had two triple bypass surgeries, and I thank God for my good health.
As a born again Christian for 57 years I would like to share that Jesus Christ died for all of us. In the Bible, you can read in John 3:16, 17 For GOD so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For GOD did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. There are many, many other Biblical passages, e.g. Ephesians 2:8-10" that tell about God's salvation plan for all of us.
