Diego's Story
Life
Got married at 18, Divorced 7 years later, got custody of all 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. struggled for years, sacrificed alot. met a lot of women. (struggled for years, sacrificed alot). met Janise, she had 2 girls. we had something in common, " struggling for years and sacrificing alot" we became good friends, moved in together and became, better friends. All the kids have grown up, finished school, moved out, and are working, or in college. We are getting hitched on 8-18-07. Next thing on our list. struggle less, sacrifice less! and enjoy our second chance of freedom. Oh, I forgot to mention, we have 3 grandchildren ages 6,4,and 2. but, we only see them every other weekend, we spoil them, than send all three girls home. All that being said, I wonder how things would have turned out, had I went out with Sandra Wissink, back in high school. nobody but her, 'I assume', knows this conversation took place. but it was the last day of school at Burton Jr High, on the second floor down the hallway from the counselor's office. we were signing each others yearbooks, when I went to give her, her book back, she as...Expand for more
ked me if, I would like to go out with her or something. I was at that moment 2 things, (one) I was so glad that she brought it up, because I was too shy to ask her. and (two) I was embarrassed because, at the time I was living in poverty. back than you didn't bring anybody over to your house, especially if she is your fantasy girl. So, I told her a lie, I told her that people like her,(meaning well off)don't date people like me(poor). She asked me what I meant by that, and I told her, that's how it is. She needed to be with someone more to her own kind(meaning well off)She said that she didn't understand and was teary-eyed, I knew that I was blowing my chance with her, but I was just to embarrassed to tell her the truth, I didn't want to see her hurt like that. So, like an ass, I turned and walked away. Just before I turned the corner I looked back. she had her head down, and her arms crossed, clutching her yearbook. I hope that today she is as beautiful as I remember, and is healthy and doing fine. and if she ever reads this I would like her to contact me someday so, that I can apologize to her personally.
