Dixie's Story
Life
I left Chehalis in 1968 and moved to Livermore California. I graduated from Livermore High School. I met Tim Vargas,who also graduated from Livermore High class of 67, and we were married in 1970. Tim graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1971. We moved to Corvallis, Oregon where Tim received his Masters at OSU. joined our family in 1985. We moved to Idaho in 1979 and are still here. I went back to school in 1983 to obtain my nursing degree. I went back again in 1995 and received my BS in Agriculture. I work with Tim in our contract chemical research business-Varco, Inc. We are blessed with our grandchildren and so far good health. We of course are looking forward to retirement (someday). I can't believe how fast the years have passed. Life is Good.
