Dixie's Story

Life Hi To All It's been a great life so far, funny how time flys! I went to college at MTSU and Classes at Vanderbilt. Married with Children (no not the tv show!)and lived in Bellevue in the late 70's. Worked as a stockbroker in Nashville and remarried and moved to Old Hickory Lake in Mt. Juliet. Husband is Richard Sells from Winchester Tennessee. We owned the Econopet (pets) Chain that some of you might remember in Rivergate and Hickory Hollow (those were the ones in Nashville). Also started Border Town which was a chain of gourmet food stores with a leaning toward hot and spicy! You remember my love for cooking plus I could go on buying trips for the stores. What do I like better than cooking? SHOPPING! So that was great fun. For the last ten years we have been in the Tampa ...Expand for more
Bay area of Florida. Great sun and sand and golf! I am a Real Estate Broker as well as a Mortgage Broker and a bad Golfer and live in of all places (aren't we all 25?) a 55 plus retirement community that is a resort type with golf, tennis, fitness and all kinds of fun stuff (parties, get togethers and clubs). I have 3 children and FIVE grandchildren. (How can you have all these grandchildren when you are 25? lol )Love them sooooo much! Grandchildren are just the best. My new name is NANA! Dearly love going to Disney (Florida Residents get great season passes) and we like to cruise which is something I found out about just a few years ago!) Would love to hear from you guys. Ran into a few of you when our kids went to Donelson Christian Academy, but have not seen anyone in years!

Just took this banana bread out of the oven. Trying to be frugal during this trying time. Looked over and my bunch of bananas had definitely seen better days! New recipe with a brown sugar strudel topping. One for tomorrow

Just made a strawberry pie for tomorrow. Fresh whipped cream to be served with it. I sure hope it tastes like Shoney's. That was the best!
Your first birthday cake! I knew you were a Superman way back when! And yes it was a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake.

So far all of our friends and family are safe. My children's high school, Donelson Christian Academy, sustained unbelievable destruction. Prayers for Nashville 🙏🙏🙏 see photos in comments
