Dixie's Story
2 years after graduation I met and married Richard and moved to Michigan. I worked as a substitute teacher for one school year then got a job with Aetna Life and Casualty processing insurance applications. After my first child, Jay was born I went back to work until after my second son was born. I then worked for a gas and electric company, stayed for 14 years while raising my youngins'. years and a gas and oil production company in Farmington, NM. I divorced in 1989 and remarried in 2006 to Lou. We've been very happily married now for 10 years. One son lives in North Carolina with 3 grandsons, the other lives in San Diego, CA and I have one grandson who is attending college at University of New Mexico. I am enjoying retirement as we travel throughout the country in an RV from our home base in Belen, NM. I love it here! I love the desert. I love the mountains! Everything is great!!
