After high school I went to BCC and worked full-time at Montgomery Wards, then managed a two boutiques in Cocoa Village, then worked at Provost Office supply. In 1980 I was ready for a change and moved to Huntington, West Virgina where my sister (remember Mrs. Hatfield?) and her husband and newborn son lived. I had the intention of finishing my degree at Marshall State, but they would not accept most of my credits. A mall was opening there and I became the manager of Things Remembered, an engraved while-you-shop store. I loved the creativity and helping folks find a perfect gift for that special someone. I moved around the state with them - Morgantown, Fairmount, Clarksburg. Then in 1985 I decided I was tired of the snow and want to come home to Florida. A store in Tallahassee was opening and I moved here in Jan. of '86. I worked there until 1993. I was tired of retail (working weekends, holidays, etc.) and had a friend who was a graphic designer.
