Don's Story
After Carson I attended Cal State University Long Beach on a scholarship. I remember going to Vietnam War protests, but little else of importance other than it was really huge and had over 30,000 students. You kind of get lost in the crowd. I wouldn't change my High School experience for anything but I would like to go back and do college over again.
I own a company called StateOne Insurance and Financial Services, that I started 14 years ago. I am a stockbroker and my company is an independent insurance agency.
I have been married to Sharon for 26 years. When we first married we moved to Lake Tahoe for a couple of years and they had two record breaking winters in a row. So we moved to San Luis Obispo down by Morro Bay and Pismo Beach, started raising kids and never found ...Expand for more
a reason to leave.
My first daughter is now married an pregnant so I am going to be a grandfather in March 2009. My youngest daughter is in Hollywood as a professional dancer and actor. She just turned 20.
The most important thing in my life is my new plan for Sharon and I to see the world. I have started a 10 year plan with 2 or 3 vacations each year with every interesting place that I have ever wanted to go scheduled. We have already started and have discovered cruising. It is a lot more fun that I would have thought. You can not see the whole world from a cruise ship but it's a nice start.
I hope to see as many of my classmates as possible in October 2009 for our 40th reunion on a cruise yacht in Newport Harbor. I wonder who came up with that idea. Ok, it was me.
