Don's Story
Life
Before Benson, I went to grade school at Ockley Green. Most of my friends from Ockley went to Jefferson High School, but I chose Benson, as I was always career-oriented.
After Benson, I went to Drake Univ. to study actuarial science, but got my degree in statistics, instead. I then attempted an MBA at Ohio Univ., but I never completed the program. After a couple low-level office jobs, I realized I'd never use my education. So I enrolled in Computer Career Institute to learn computer programming. And I've been programming since 1978.
I got married in 1976 and became a father in 1978. In 1979, we all moved to Salem, where I've had my permanent residence ever since.
My wife passed away in 2001, but I haven't felt like finding a new relationship quite yet.

971, and I've co-authored 2 books along the way.
After living in Oregon for all but 5 years of my life--and in Salem for 25--I got a position in Idaho and moved to Nampa in 2004. However, that job fell apart in 2005, and I returned to Salem. The best thing was that my absence enabled my son to learn to stand on his own two feet. My son just got married in 2006, but I have no grandchildren at this time.
In late 2006, I was recruited by the same company that I turned down to take the position in Idaho. This time, I sprang on the offer, and moved to tiny Watford City, ND.
In May, 2007, I decided to return to Salem, Oregon, where I own a house. I've been doing some self-employed astrological consulting since I came back. I've also served on the board of the Oregon Astrological Association.
