Life
My Job
Being a cop was a dream of mine ever since I could remember. I never thought I would be working for the Chicago Police Department though. I always figured I would be a cop in a small suburb.
But... one of my best friends, that worked with me when I was with the Cook County Sheriff's Department, talked me into joining CPD. We both applied for the Chicago Police Department and we both made it. Having him as a partner, working in BOTH departments, was a blast!
I never really cared to live "in the city". But I have found a nice area, that I enjoy living in. CPD worked out better then I ever imagined. I could not have a more satisfying job. I have met some of the most wonderful people in my life.

My Kids
I have a wonderful son who looks just like me, Don Buczkowski III who is 15 years old. And a beautiful young little girl, Dana, who is 13. I'm currently divorced.
My kids are everything to me and I love them with all my heart. I could not be happier to have custody of my two children.
I had them in the perfect order, so my little girl will always have a bigger brother to protect and look after her!
My Hobbies.
Car's, Fish tanks (aquarium hobby for over 20 years), mostly saltwater and reef tanks. All pets. And teaching my son pro foosball (table soccer). It's been a passion of mine for over 25 years now. Email donbutch gmail com or donbutchcpd aol com (better)
