Don's Story

I went straight to UCSD after high school. After my sophomore year I left college to become a full-time marine technician at the Deep Sea Drilling Project at Scripps. I sailed on the Glomar Challenger for a total of 60 months at sea over 13 years. I met and married my wife, Sheila, during...Expand for more
that time. I also went back to UCSD to finish my mechanical engineering degree by 1983. In 1984 I took a test engineering job at Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical for 9 years. In 1994 I started work at Solar Turbines, retiring this year in May. Bought an RV and plan to travel the US and Canada.
