Don's Story
Life
I am currently in my 32 year in education. I have been a principal for 19 years (Middle School). I had enough training being in Mr. Massey's office. I have a great wife in Beth. She teaches 5th grade. My oldest son Rob works for a local electric cooperative. He is also a Sargent in the National Guard. He is a section chief for the Medics. His wife Susan is a 2nd grade teacher just outside of Chickasha where they live. May 7 they had Aubrey Grace. Beth and I are just crazy about her. oungest son, is a junior at University of Central Oklahoma. Thats Central State to us old folks. Beth and I have little spare time. If we aren't at school we are usually at church. But we have found time for our granddaughter. I spent a very rewarding week in Mexico this summer on a mission trip. I have been there many times and it still amazes me how poor those people are.
I qualify for Teacher Retirement but with a son in college I can't afford to. I am shopping around for a possible change of profession.
