Don's Story
I left Ft Knox in august 1965, after my father passed away. I moved to Calif, to attend the University of California. In the summer of 1966, Tommy McDowell and I shared an apartment together. Tommy attended Ft Knox in 1964, then he moved to E-town where he graduated in 1966. Here we were, two traditional boys from Kentucky, off on our first of life"s great adventures. om anyone from our class. My purpose, for seeking out old friends and classmates, is quite simple, it"s to share that feeling of insouciance, joy, and laughter, we onces shared. Time is the great equalizer, and life is ephemeral, so if you don"t take the opportunity to tell those you shared this camaraderie with that they added meaning in your life, I think you will miss a golden opportunity. I don"t mean to sound didactic, but we come from a culture of great sprite and energy, and I"m proud of being a "BRAT".
