13 years with the American Red Cross as a volunteer in Disaster Services. I teach classes for volunteers/staff that want to deploy locally and nationally to disasters. After Katrina hit, I taught 10 classes in a month. I co-managed a Red Cross shelter in Muncie during the 2005 Ice Storm. Spend 4 1/2 days at Delta Middle School which sheltered with 500+ folks and assisted serving 3000 meals (some folks came and ate/showered and went back home).
Also heavily involved with the Sons of Amvets, a subordinate group to the Amvets which is a Veterans organization. Are mission is to support the Vet's however we can. I'm currentlty State Commander for 2008-2009.
I guess I'm just a volunteer....lol
