Don's Story
went to ETSU but I was really not interested again in school . Hurricane Camil had hit LA and my sister was there workinng so I went to help. stayed there inspecting homes and things left afterward. Turned 18 and caame home but stilll wanted a real life so I enrolled in Chicago at DeVry Tech. learned those big computers, well they were large at that point, and then to to U of Chicago. WHile there I had an idea for a business and started a company with $35..Well Iin 87 I gave that company to the employees to raise my 2nd son, Ian he was 4 then . Came to Rancho Cucamonga from L A and was there with the cancer and the new J-Pouch and then heart attack and 2 strokes. Moved to Victorville, CA for the weather and built another home there and planned on being there forever till Momma called and said "son it is time to come home". And I did in 06. he people I kenw back then. I have a few friends from those days and I stayed in touch with. Mike Haws was the firrst to welcome me home. Now I am married to a wonderful lady and a tremendous friend, Pamela.. We lost my sister Madelin and Pam's son, Ryan, my aunt Audry and Uncle Howard. Still see Madeline walking by the window at times. I really miss her and that makes me cherish Sally and my brothers and sisters more. I am disabled after the last stroke in 04 and now the Dementia but still know the way to Momma's there by the old football field. And there has been some new building in Jonesborough thanks to my neighbor the Mayor. And I think the new Mayor of Washington County will help on those things. I love the new court house but still love to go by the stores in downtown Jonesborough. You never know what you are going to find in that antique store . WOW. Doc Johnson.
